Since the boys are still so young, we do a combined birthday party for them. This year was a dinosaur theme (chosen by Sen). Sen turned 3 and Ashton turns 2 in a couple weeks. Here are some photos of the party.
I desperately needed a project and this was the perfect one to tackle. Our kitchen peninsula was very plain and hideous. Here's what the process looked like.
I'm always in a state of projects as my husband can attest to. I'm updating our house little by little and as inexpensive as I can. For this project I simply sanded the doors, Painted and added trim and new hardware. I love how they turned out. What do you think?
I wanted to build a bed for my son that is 3. He's grown out of a toddler bed and I wanted him to have something that he could use and grow into. I also wanted something low to the ground to make it easy on him to get in and out of. I decided on making him this low platform Bed. Here's a link to the plans I modified.
So a couple of weekends ago, I went to a bunch of garage sales with my MIL and SIL. We hit the mother load. We were basically guided to this wonderful lady who was selling a crib and all the baby stuff from her grandchildren. I only spent $30 and got a beautiful crib (pictured below), a baby swing that works great, a highchair, a toy box and more :)
I've been working on getting the room painted so we can start moving things into the room.
